The kitchen is definitely in the deconstruction mode. Don has a great plan for making the kitchen quite usable as the work continues. We have pulled out cabinets, torn up floors, taken off drywall; but still I have a stove, range top, sink, etc. Cooking continues!!! Yesterday morning we had buckwheat huckleberry muffins for breakfast and cornbread for dinner, but during the day the oven & stove were sitting on the opposite counter completely disconnected.
The old kitchen was never liked, but definitely well-loved. It is filled with wonderful food & family vibes, but not one bit of it's ugly exterior will be missed. (Well perhaps when the new kitchen is complete, I'll think of something.)

Above is the old breakfast nook area. Much of the kitchen will be in this space when our kitchen make-over is complete.
Take a good look at this photo above and check out what it looks like today, after demolition!
Tomorrow I will try the kale chips, they are good & green for St Paddy's Day!
